Morning Dharma - Jan 5 2023

Is the world moving faster than you’d like? Today’s class slows things down by starting with some grounding poses to support the nervous system. We then celebrate the full moon with a salutation flow to lubricate the joints. A great flow for the spine and psoas!

MorningDharma_Dec20-2022

Are you feeling tight and sore in your back? Is the cold winter weather making you feel creaky and achy? Maybe even a little grouchy? This energizing flow will wake up your spine and leave you feeling more open, flexible, and maybe just a little more joyous. No matter how you’re feeling today, be kind to yourself. ♥

December 15, 2022

Feeling a little stressed today? Or a lot? This class will relax your hips and hopefully your mind to “let go and let be.” We do some grounding breathwork and end in a triangle flow to help us create more flexibility – on and off the mat. ♥

September 6 2022

You are okay. The thoughts you have and the emotions you have are okay. We CAN choose what to hold on to and what to let go of. Let’s have compassion for ourselves and others – today’s class will help us get there. Along with a sun sal b flow and plenty of twists to squeeze out any leftovers from the holiday weekend – physically and metaphorically :).

September 1 2022

For September we will explore liberation – self-liberation from our habitual patterns of thinking and feeling, in our minds and our bodies. We will learn that we can truly choose to let go.

Aug 30 2022

Do you ever feel so irritable and angry that you could just breathe fire? The intense heat and humidity of August here in Eastern WV can cause our pitta dosha to become imbalanced making us quick to anger and lash out — just like a fire breathing dragon. Today’s practice aims to tame our inner dragons with cooling breath work, grounding and balancing poses, and a guided meditation.

August 18 2022 - Joint Mobility

If you have achy, stiff, crunchy, or simply sore joints, this class will help you stretch the muscles around the joints to create more ease, stability, and overall mobility. Joint issues can often result from inactivity, dehydration, and inflammation. So even moving just a little bit each day can help keep your whole body moving for years to come. And be sure to stay properly hydrated – drink that water!

Props that you may want, but not required: Blocks, strap, chair, or wall.
